THE COMPANY

Galvion designs, develops, and manufactures ballistic helmets and dynamic energy and data management solutions for the modern battlefield. Operations today depend on more charged equipment than ever before, and warfighter efficiency and mobility are vital to mission success. We are a passionate, global, and fast-paced team working with several strategic partners and are committed to enhancing the overall agility and survivability of the modern warfighter and tactical operator.

The Opportunity

The Mechanical Engineer II is part of the team responsible for creating a wide range of solutions for the company’s product line, from component level to system level solutions. The Mechanical Engineer II will participate in the development of design concepts using CAD tools, mock-ups and prototypes, and will participate in the validation of designs thru analysis, testing and trials. They will be a key member of the design and engineering teams and will participate in the new product development and product improvement efforts of the company. They will work alongside with the other departments to establish the design brief, including the concept, performance and production constraints and criteria to ensure manufacturability, durability and performance of the products. The Mechanical Engineer I/i will liaise with process and tool engineering, supply chain and operations to ensure transition of the designs into mass production. Within the Design Engineering team, the Mechanical Engineer II will be the Subject Matter Expert regarding technical documentation and specifications, drafting standards and GD&T. They will be mentored by senior mechanical Engineers for the development of his/her capabilities, expertise and mastery of engineering best practices.

They must have exceptional learning abilities, creative problem-solving skills and will need to be a customer-oriented self-starter who can work in a dynamic and evolving team environment.
